My Husband Thought He Would Be Bored on a River Cruise. Here's What We Actually Loved About Avalon.

Lloyd really thought he might be bored on our first river cruise. 😂

We were used to ocean cruises, and Avalon was going to be a completely different kind of experience.

Different? Yes. Boring? Not even close.

We sailed away from Budapest at night, watched castles and towns pass from the Sky Deck, experienced the river locks, explored with wonderful local guides, ate some amazing food and met people we truly enjoyed.

While I was perfectly happy sitting quietly and watching Europe pass by, Lloyd could always find someone to talk to. By the end of the cruise, the man who had worried about being bored was ready to go again.
