Sorrento Made Me Want to Linger
Some destinations are beautiful. Others make you wish you had just a little more time.

There are places you visit, admire, photograph, and happily move on from.
And then there are places like Sorrento.
Standing along that coastline overlooking the Bay of Naples, I remember thinking how incredibly beautiful it was. The cliffs, the water, the boats below, the town tucked along the coast, it was one of those views that makes you stop what you're doing and simply look.
But what I remember most about Sorrento isn't one particular sight.
It's the feeling that I wanted more time.
I wanted more time to wander the streets. More time to sit somewhere with a beautiful view. More time to explore without thinking about where I needed to be next.
That's one of the things travel has taught me: time in a destination matters.
You can technically visit a place and still leave feeling as though you barely experienced it.
It's also why I pay attention when I'm looking at itineraries and see a longer stay, or even better, an overnight, in a destination like Sorrento. Sometimes those extra hours completely change the experience.
I've traveled to many beautiful places, and there are still countless destinations I haven't seen.
But Sorrento?
I'd go back.
And next time, I'd linger a little longer.
